Winchester

The picturesque town of Winchester was first settled in 1640.  What began as an agri-industrial community has evolved to a residential town with a unique geography.  From the valley into the wooded hills of the Middlesex Fells Reservation and surrounded by several bodies of water, Winchester has been listed as one of the top fifteen suburbs in the nation.  As many of the homes were built before World War II, Winchester maintains much of its history through architecture.

Rich in tradition, the residents of Winchester pride themselves on that which sets them apart from sister communities.  For over a century, thousands have gathered here for the annual Thanksgiving football contest between rivaling high schools.  Many residents spend their summers enjoying the Mystic Lakes and many activities available at the Winchester Boat Club. Additional private clubs are available for swimming, tennis and golf.

The local school district is consistently touted as one of the best in the state, if not the country.  The 7 public schools in Winchester are known for providing exceptional education to attendees since their inception.

Without much change in population over the years, Winchester is a town you'll cherish for generations to come.
