Arlington

Originally settled in 1635, Arlington is a town rich in history as the birthplace of Uncle Sam and the location of the first public children’s library, among other notable facts.  Bordered by Belmont, Lexington and Winchester, today Arlington boasts a small town vibe with convenient access to all things urban. Routinely selected as one of the top places to live, as well as one of the safest cities to raise a family, it’s no wonder that those who live in Arlington rarely move elsewhere.

This modern community maintains its charm with many must-visit museums and a lengthy list of private homes registered as historic places.  Located just 6 miles northwest of Boston, recreational activities abound. Many local parks are popular for biking, hiking and canoeing; complete with access to Mystic River and Mystic Lakes that border Arlington as well.

Public education is provided by the Arlington School District, a system that serves 9 schools.  Additionally, the district includes one of the top vocational-technical schools in the state, Minuteman Regional High School located in Lexington.  A handful of private schools are also available within Arlington. The educational opportunities alone have contributed to the town’s notoriety as one of the more educated communities in America.

If you are looking for a close-knit community rich in history, Arlington just may be the perfect place for you to call home.
